5 700+ Rider Bike Run Start: 09/05/2010 10:00 am ride is sept 5, 2010 starting at downtown altoona at Heritage plaza.registration starts at 9:00a.m., opening ceremonies begin at 10:10,kickstands up at 11:00.its a 100 mile ride including a 1 1/2 hr stop at huntingdon's V.F.W. (last years ride had 719 motorcycles its a sight & sound to behold)rides concludes at Burgi's Roundhouse in greenwood.after party starts at 4:30p.m.	6	7	8	9	10 Cooking Class Start: 09/10/2010 7:57 am I would like you to announce the information for upcoming "Cooking Classes" for The 3 Day Walk Fundraiser to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The classes,instructed by Chef John McManamon from the Westin Hotel in Detroit, will be held in 3 different sessions at the Abbey Church on the corner of 6th and Mifflin St. in Huntingdon. Dates and Times are September 10th from 6:30-8:30 focusing on appetizers and Sept. 11th from 8:30-10:30(Ode to Desserts) and 11:00-1:00 (Main Courses). Newton Wayne Fire Company Turkey Supper Start: 09/11/2010 3:00 am Suppers are from 3pm til 5 pm and can be ordered for take out by calling 814-542-8968. Take out orders must be called in by 2:30 pm. Prices are as follows. Eat in are $7 children 5 - 11 are $4 and kids under 4 are free. Take out orders are $7.50. Music along the Juniata Start: 09/11/2010 10:00 am Come one, come all to the Second "Music Along the Juniata" band competition held at the mount union football stadium, right next to the mount union high school Gates open at 10 am. The preview show start at 11:30 and competitions start at 7pm. Come see alot of bands from the area show their stuff Admission is $5 for spectators, $3 for students, and $4 for senior citizens- come and spend the whole day with great food, friends and AWSOME MUSIC..!!!!
